The Doc is In and Lou is Free

Friday, July 31st, 2009
Mardi Horowitz, M.D. is our guest in the 7 p.m. hour this SundayDr. Horowitz is the author of a very wise and immediately useful new book called A Course in Happiness. Suzanne and I both read the book and agree that Dr. Horowitz outlines the most  practical step-by-step approach that anyone can take to achieving personal happiness. As a practicing psychiatrist, Dr. Horowitz has seen many examples of how people transform from unhappy to happy and what needs to happen inside to make the change. Some of his cases are poignant and one or two of them will come up for discussion.

My Divination Diva will be in-studio for the first time on our program: Lou J. Free, clinical hypnotherapist and psychic medium, has worked in tv, radio, seminars, classes, and private sessions both nationally and internationally. She interprets dreams, looks at health issues, career decisions, and can easily explain what is going on in other dimensions. Best of all, she is giving FREE readings in the 8 p.m. hour! We have attended her Psychic Showcase in Fife, Washington, several times recently, and we can tell you that she is a lot of fun! Call early to get in queue at 888-298-5569 or 425-373-5527…

Our Sunday show is being re-broadcast on the following Saturday night 7-9pm if there are no sporting events scheduled. Tomorrow night, August 1, listen to the encore presentation of Susan Harmon and Eileen Grimes from July 26.

Like Ladies’ Night Redux

Friday, July 24th, 2009

I am happy to welcome Susan Harmon back to the studio at 7pm this Sunday to talk about the legendary power of the pyramid and the meanings of crystals and stones. Susan has travelled extensively and amassed an enormous collection of our magnificent earth’s wonders. She works with numerous modalities, including stones and toning, to psychically connect with people’s energy. I confess my ignorance in this area and am glad Susan will be in the studio to fill in some of the gaps in my knowledge…

Stay tuned at 8pm for another great hour with Astrologer Eileen Grimes who will tell you what to expect for the rest of 2009 in your life. What do the stars augur for your career, health, and love life? Eileen will be joined by the warm and wise Rev. Raea Sunshine for another of our tandem reading encounters. Fun! These ladies have answers to your questions; as always, we invite callers that desire a FREE mini-reading.

Our Sunday show is being re-broadcast on the following Saturday night 7-9pm if there are no sporting events scheduled. This Saturday night, July 25, listen to the encore presentation of Kristen Schuerlein from March 29 discussing affirmations in the 7pm hour. And if you missed the amazing Michael Bogar last Sunday night, be sure to tune in to the last hour of our 90-minute interview at 8:00. If I say so myself, it was heavy-duty!

If you are outside our listening area, stream the show live at www.1150kknw.com or go to www.garymantz.com and click Listen Live. Call us at 425.373.5527 or toll-free in Western Washington at 1.888.298.5569.

Welcome Back, Rev. Bogar

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

There is a strong likelihood that our show will begin at 8:00 this week. The mighty Storm continue to impress and may be wrapping up another win in the 7 p.m. hour.

This Sunday, I am happy to welcome back the Rev. Michael Bogar. Not sure what exactly will be on our conversational bill of fare, but I can pretty well promise that Michael will keep the show lively with his blend of wit and wisdom. He is always a listener favorite! I may play some excerpts of his talks at CSL Seattle and have him expand on his themes. Rev. Michael is one deep thinker and has profound things to share on the practice of Soul-Making.

Storm Blows Us Away (but we shall return!)

Friday, July 10th, 2009

We are off the air this coming Sunday, July 12 as the Seattle Storm game is broadcast on 1150 KKNW. Hope you will enjoy the game. Listen for one of our encore editions on Saturday @ 7:00 p.m. These repeats are not a sure thing mind you, but we might just pull a show out of the vault with management’s sufferance…

The Sunday following, I am happy to welcome back the Rev. Michael Bogar. Not sure what exactly will be on our conversational bill of fare, but I can pretty well promise that Michael will keep the show lively with his blend of wit and wisdom. He is always a listener favorite!

Carter and Carter (sans Jimmy) on Sunday

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

We are back this Sunday! We have put together a show that features a couple of Carters, neither of which is a Jimmy (we do not do partisan politics here!)…

In our first hour, Chris Carter, an Oxford-educated philosopher and author, will discuss the long-running battle for hearts and especially minds between parapsychologists and the professional skeptics. Clearly, neither group has much regard for the other’s “professionalism.” The valley is deep and the chasm is wide when it comes to the continual struggle over the nature of Mind and its great capacities. Is ESP for real? Chris emphatically says Yes and he is prepared to make a scientific case for that affirmation. Interviewing an Oxford grad, sheesh, I had better do my homework this weekend…

In the second hour, I’ll welcome back my favorite “karma specialist,” Boston Carter. Okay, she is the only person I know that calls herself by that term but I think a lot of her character and clean spiritual practice. She is someone I always look forward to visiting with on-air. We will explore the karmic nature of relationships, both romantic and otherwise. If you have questions/comments about your own relationships, we encourage you to participate by calling in with your much-more-than-two-cents!

Suzanne and I went down to Fife for another of Lou Free’s Psychic Showcases last night. And again, we enjoyed the experience immensely. Lou draws a nice crowd of metaphysical-types (our kind of folks) and they never fail to make us feel like we are part of a big, happy family. I intend to get down there frequently this summer. The fun happens Wednesday nights at 7:00 but the crowd starts gathering at least an hour beforehand. The seating is somewhat limited so if you plan to attend, I advise showing up by 6:30. The Poodle Dog restaurant has a good American menu and is located not far off the first I-5 South exit in Fife. A big landmark as you approach the exit is the Emerald Queen freeway casino. Hope to see you there!
